Happy Birthday Card

A quick birthday card to post today, no time for much of a lunch break today...  This card is using on of the many "Stella" stamps from Totally Stampalicious (by Bugaboo). I watercolored the image using Ranger Distress Inks and my water brush.  PP is from the Out of Print Basic Grey collection. Have a great day!  Shari

Santa...

It is so hard to work on Christimas cards when I am still having a hard time believing it is October already!!  And an even harder time seeing all the Christmas stuff out in some stores already, what happened to waiting until at least Thanksgiving to start putting that out?!?! Fall is my favorite time of year and I would just like to enjoy it for a while. 

Ok, enough of my complaining and on with my card post..  I LOVE the Santa stamps that Tim Holtz comes out with every year, so much fun!  This is a big stamp so my final card size is a big 5x7" card.  Still playing with some other ideas with this stamp and hoping for a smaller version too.  I believe the paper is Bo Bunny but will have to check and the Believe sentiment and little poinsettia stamp at the bottom are from a Penny Black clear set.  And of course I had to add a little stitching to this card as well... :)  This card is for one of my classes at Scrappers Cove this Saturday.  (click the picture to see larger image).  Have a great day!   Shari

Class Updates and Card Pics

Hi! I hope you all have had a great summer!  I'm still here, just super busy,  trying to get this blog moving again!  I have updated my class schedule for September and October at Scrappers Cove, see post at the top of the page for schedule. 

I just came back from a fun weekend with friends at the Cozy Crop house in Lancaster, PA - had a great time seeing my friends and enjoyed some overdue crafty time!  The pic below is a pic of the cards for my September class this Sunday.  Most of the cards used Graphic 45's The Magic of Oz papers and stamps from Crafty Secrets Wizard of Oz set.  G45 does have 3 stamp sets to go with the Oz paper but unfortunately they sold out at the shop before I could buy any so I used the Crafty Secrets set I had.  On the two cards that are not Oz themed, I used those adorable Hedgie stamps from Penny Black!  The PP on the Halloween Hedgie card is a mix from the G45 Magic of Oz and ABC Primer collections; the PP on the little girl Hedgie is from Girls Paperie Vintage Whimsy collection.

Updated Class Info

I just got back from a wonderful two week vacation visiting my family in California. Had a great time but as most vacations do, it went by too quickly.  I just updated my class schedule, see post at top of blog for info.  I will get more cards posted soon.  Have a great day, Shari

Next up is a quick little card for one of my classes this Saturday at Scrappers Cove.  I used paper from Girls Paperie - Vintage Whimsy collection and the stamps is from a clear Penny Black set called Tiny Wishes.  I paper pieced her hat and dress and watercolored the rest of her using Ranger Distress Inks and my waterbrush.  Hope to get more pics posted soon.  Have a great day!

Quick post today, never had time to get this post up yesterday but here it is...  I have two version of this card, a mini one that is for my Make & Take at the Scrappers Cove booth at Scrapbook Expo next weekend and the larger version is for my morning class this Saturday at Scrappers Cove.  Both images (Penny Black) were watercolored using my waterbrush and Ranger Distress inks.  Make it a great day!  Thanks for stopping by, Shari

Celebrate Today...

Here is another card for one of my classes this Saturday, I could sit and color these adorable images all day!!  This stamp is from a clear Penny Black set called "Teddy & Company"  so cute!!  I colored the image using my waterbrush and Ranger Distress Inks, so much fun! Tomorrow I will share a peek at one of my Make & Take projects that I will be doing in the Scrappers Cove booth at the Scrapbook Expo on May 21st.   Have a great day!  Shari

 

Hello Friend...

I had a very productive cardmaking day today! This card is for a class I am teaching May 14th at Scrappers Cove. I just love this Penny Black stamp! I paper pieced her Jacket, boots, hat and umbrella from Bo-Bunny double dot cardstock. I watercolored the rest of the image with my waterbrush and distress inks.

Learn to Pause...

Words I need to listen to more often...  life has been busy busy lately.   Not a bad thing though..

Quick card from a recent Alcohol Inks technique class. Used one of my favorite techniques on this one - drops of inks hit with a blast of air from an air can.  so much fun!  We really had a great time in this class playing with all the different techniques.  We used Ranger Alcohol Inks and stamp by Tim Holtz from Stampers Anonymous.    Have  a great day, Shari
